My eyes were tightly shut, but today they have opened wide.
I possessed only two eyes, yet they could not remain open;
He possessed a thousand eyes, yet not even one ever closed.
I was tightly bound by worldly illusion, mistaking attachment for love.
But his heart held true love, and absolute compassion overflowed from his eyes;
