દુઃખદર્દ સહન થાતાં નથી, તોય પ્રભુ તને પોકારી શકતા નથી
વહે છે આંખેથી આંસુની ધારા, તોય યાદ તને પ્રભુ કરતા નથી
તડપે છે સુખ માટે હરક્ષણ, પણ દુઃખ સિવાય કાંઈ પામતા નથી
દુઃખદર્દભરી હાલતમાં બી, અન્યનાં દુઃખદર્દ સમજી શકતા નથી
છૂટવું છે એ હાલતમાંથી, પણ ખોટી હાયવોય કર્યા વિના રહેતા નથી
ત્રાસી ચૂકે છે જીવનથી, તોય પ્રભુ યાદ તને કરતા નથી
યાદ કરવું ભૂલીને ખોટી ફરિયાદો ને દોષો, કહ્યા વિના રહેતા નથી
છૂટવું છે જે હાલતમાંથી, એ હાલતમાંથી છૂટવાની કોઈ તૈયારી નથી
સમજે છે ને જાણે છે આ સંસારનું રૂપ, તોય મોહ ઓછો કરી શકતા નથી
લોભલાલચમાં તણાય છે એવા, વિચાર ખુદનો કરતા નથી
જોઈએ છે બધું જીવનમાં, પુરુષાર્થ પૂર્ણ કરવા નથી
છે શાંતિ દેનારો તુજ પ્રભુ, તોય નામસ્મરણ તારું કરી શકતા નથી

duḥkhadarda sahana thātāṁ nathī, tōya prabhu tanē pōkārī śakatā nathī
vahē chē āṁkhēthī āṁsunī dhārā, tōya yāda tanē prabhu karatā nathī
taḍapē chē sukha māṭē harakṣaṇa, paṇa duḥkha sivāya kāṁī pāmatā nathī
duḥkhadardabharī hālatamāṁ bī, anyanāṁ duḥkhadarda samajī śakatā nathī
chūṭavuṁ chē ē hālatamāṁthī, paṇa khōṭī hāyavōya karyā vinā rahētā nathī
trāsī cūkē chē jīvanathī, tōya prabhu yāda tanē karatā nathī
yāda karavuṁ bhūlīnē khōṭī phariyādō nē dōṣō, kahyā vinā rahētā nathī
chūṭavuṁ chē jē hālatamāṁthī, ē hālatamāṁthī chūṭavānī kōī taiyārī nathī
samajē chē nē jāṇē chē ā saṁsāranuṁ rūpa, tōya mōha ōchō karī śakatā nathī
lōbhalālacamāṁ taṇāya chē ēvā, vicāra khudanō karatā nathī
jōīē chē badhuṁ jīvanamāṁ, puruṣārtha pūrṇa karavā nathī
chē śāṁti dēnārō tuja prabhu, tōya nāmasmaraṇa tāruṁ karī śakatā nathī

Cannot bear the pain of sorrows and misery, still oh God, we are unable to call out to you.
Tears are flowing from the eyes, still oh God, we unable to remember you.
We are desperate for happiness every moment, but apart from sorrow we don’t get anything.
In this situation of pain and sorrow, we are unable to understand the pain and sorrow of others.
We want freedom from this state, yet false desperado we still display.
We are fed up of life, yet we do not remember you oh God.
To remember you and forgetting wrong accusations and complaints , that we are unable to do.
The situation from which we want to escape, we have made no preparations to escape.
Inspite of knowing the the colour and nature of this world, still we are not able to break the attachments.
We are so caught up in greed and selfishness that we are unable to think about ourselves.
We want everything in life, but we do not want to do complete hard work for it.
You are the only one who can give me peace oh God, still we unable to chant your name.
