The Guru blessed me with the lamp of knowledge,
The lamp shines and twinkles bright.
The darkness vanished from my life,
And beams of light appeared right there.
Through the lamp of knowledge, I found my Lord,
When I found my Lord, devotion awakened within.
With a heart full of deep devotion for the Lord,
I became liberated from this worldly cycle.
Oh! One lamp lights another lamp,
But oil must be poured into it.
Without oil, a lamp cannot spread its light.
By pouring the oil of devotion and lighting the flame of knowledge,
Let us illuminate ourselves! The darkness of lifetimes will disappear.
