The work meant to be done in life is left undone; the things not to be done happen first.
Where we wish to laugh, tears arrive instead.
Where we wish to weep, laughter breaks out instead.
We wander lost in the mistakes we have made,
And we end up leading others astray too.
We desire to be accommodating to everyone,
But in attempting to adapt, we become unfavorable.
Far from giving someone peace, we become the very cause of their anger.
Burning in the fire of jealousy, we drag others into its flames.
Instead of putting out the fire, we keep pouring fuel onto the flames.
