શીખવાનું છે તો ઘણું-ઘણું આ જીવનમાં, શીખવાનું છે તો ઘણું
ન કરતો તારા દરવાજા બંધ, પાઠ ભણીને ભણવાનું છે તો ઘણું
ભણીને, એમાંથી જાણવાનું છે કાંઈક, સમજવાનું છે કાંઈક
કરવી છે ભેગી તો પોટલી જ્ઞાનની, પણ નહીં બાંધતો ગઠરી તું
ક્યારેય પણ રાખજે ખુલ્લી એને તું, જેટલું સમાય એટલું સમાવજે તું
નહીં લાગે ક્યારેય એનો ભાર, પણ ભાર પોતાનો હલકો કરજે
નહીં રાખતો ખુલ્લી ગઠરી અપેક્ષાઓ અને ઇચ્છાઓની, બંધન એના પર તો તું લગાવજે
નહીં લગાવે બંધન, તો ભરતો નહીં, ઊંચકતા, પડી જઈશ તું અહીં ને અહીં
અભિમાન અને ઈર્ષાને, અગ્નિમાં તો તું નાખજે, તો સુગંધિત થાશે તારું જીવન
પણ એમાં અગ્નિ તું ના પ્રગટાવજે, નહીં તો બળી જાશે તારું જીવન

There is so much, so very much to learn in this life; there is truly so much to learn.
Do not close your doors, for after learning one lesson, there is still so much more to study.
From learning, you must discover something; you must understand something.
If you must gather anything, gather a small pouch of knowledge, but do not tie it into a locked bundle;
Keep it open always, and absorb as much as can be contained within it.
Its weight will never burden you; instead, it will lighten your own heavy load.
Do not leave the bundle of your expectations and desires wide open; you must place boundaries upon it.
If you do not set boundaries, do not keep filling it, or you will collapse right here while trying to lift it.
Throw your pride and jealousy into the fire, and your life will become fragrant;
But do not ignite a fire within your life itself, otherwise, your entire life will burn down.
