દૂધમાં છુપાયેલા માખણને જેમ નરી આંખે નિહાળી શકાતું નથી, તેમ શરીરમાં છુપાયેલા આત્માને જોઈ શકાતો નથી. માખણને જ્યાં સુધી છૂટું ન પાડીએ, ત્યાં સુધી એ પોતાનું રૂપ ધારણ કરતું નથી. દૂધના તપેલામાં બે ટીપાં છાશ નાખવાથી, એક અલગ સ્વરૂપ જોવા મળે છે અને એક અલગ દ્રવ્ય ઉત્પન્ન થાય છે, તેમ અંતરાત્માને જોવા માટે શ્રદ્ધારૂપી મેળવણના માત્ર બે ટીપાંની જ જરૂર છે. ભક્તિરૂપી શ્રદ્ધાના માત્ર બે ટીપાંથી આખું જીવન દહીંની જેમ શીતળતાને વરે છે, અને છાશ જેમ ચીકાશ રહિત બને છે તેમ કષાયોથી મુક્ત થવાય છે. માખણમાંથી ઉત્પન્ન થતું ઘી કેટલું સુગંધી અને ઠંડું હોય છે, એવું જ મહેકતું મારું જીવન, પ્રભુ, તું બનાવજે.

dūdhamāṁ chupāyēlā mākhaṇanē jēma narī āṁkhē nihālī śakātuṁ nathī, tēma śarīramāṁ chupāyēlā ātmānē jōī śakātō nathī. mākhaṇanē jyāṁ sudhī chūṭuṁ na pāḍīē, tyāṁ sudhī ē pōtānuṁ rūpa dhāraṇa karatuṁ nathī. dūdhanā tapēlāmāṁ bē ṭīpāṁ chāśa nākhavāthī, ēka alaga svarūpa jōvā malē chē anē ēka alaga dravya utpanna thāya chē, tēma aṁtarātmānē jōvā māṭē śraddhārūpī mēlavaṇanā mātra bē ṭīpāṁnī ja jarūra chē. bhaktirūpī śraddhānā mātra bē ṭīpāṁthī ākhuṁ jīvana dahīṁnī jēma śītalatānē varē chē, anē chāśa jēma cīkāśa rahita banē chē tēma kaṣāyōthī mukta thavāya chē. mākhaṇamāṁthī utpanna thatuṁ ghī kēṭaluṁ sugaṁdhī anē ṭhaṁḍuṁ hōya chē, ēvuṁ ja mahēkatuṁ māruṁ jīvana, prabhu, tuṁ banāvajē.

Just as the butter hidden within milk cannot be seen with the naked eye, the soul hidden within the body cannot be seen. Until the butter is separated, it does not manifest its true form. By adding just two drops of buttermilk into a pot of milk, a distinct form is seen, and a different substance is created; similarly, to perceive the inner soul, only two drops of faith are needed. With just two drops of faith filled with devotion, the entire life attains coolness just like yogurt, and just as the buttermilk becomes free from stickiness, one becomes liberated from passions and attachments. How fragrant and soothing is the ghee produced from butter; O Lord, make my life just as beautifully fragrant as that.
